Do you need mental help?
Do you need mental help?
When faced with extreme emotional problems, we often have no problem determining whether we need to see a counselor. But if you're just feeling a bit unwell or having a few bad days in a row, this decision isn't always that easy. Ask yourself the following questions and answer honestly with "yes" or "no."
*Do you get true satisfaction from simple pleasures?
*Do you respect yourself? *Can you laugh at your own mistakes?
*Do you feel able to handle situations that come your way?
*Can you accept the expression of your own emotions, such as fear, anger, jealousy, guilt, and worry?
*Do you have satisfying, lasting personal relationships?
*Do you trust others and assume that they will trust you? * Do you respect people who are different from you?
* Don't push yourself or refuse to be happy with it?
* Do you feel part of a group?
* Can you love someone?
* Do you fulfill the responsibilities you're given to the best of your ability? * Do you make your own decisions?
* Do you deal with problems as they arise?
* Do you make the environment as easy as possible and adapt when necessary?
Count the no answers. If you don't, you're special. A few "no" answers are normal and nothing to worry about at all. However, if you answer "no" to five or more questions, some kind of counseling will likely help you get back on track.
The fact that you can take this test is a good indicator that you would do well with the right advice. Don't give up until many more answers are "no." You have the right to enjoy the best mental health possible. Don't ignore it.
